Before our life in Portland with Aegyo and Surin...
How We Met
Chris and Joelle met, in the dregs of the pandemic... Of course, it was online. He was the first and only person Joelle talked to. (She was a lucky duck.) Joelle was a student at UNH, and he was working in the veterinary diagnostics business at the time (they LOVE their pets). They had a video chat, and ended up talking for over 7 hours into the morning, about life meaning, science, and philosophy. They only stopped because Joelle's laptop died.
Our First Date
Chris was visiting his family who he is very close to in York, and invited Joelle to the Union Bluff Hotel, just minutes away from his childhood home (and our wedding site!). From that week, they have maybe spent maybe 15 nights apart since meeting those years ago.
To Portland!
Joelle moved to Portland after she graduated in December 2021. A pretty great place to live!
And so it began...
Joelle was soon introduced to those close to Chris, his family and friends! This was a great memory of when they first met Nate and Sam together after a successful project was approved!
New furry family members!
Somewhere along the way, Aegyo and Surin came into their lives. They love them so much!
A mysterious trip to Texas.
Chris was so excited to see the Falcon 9 launch from SPI Texas! Riding horses on the beach, who unfortunately did not like each other. They had a fabulous trip which had the best plot twist! Well, Chris knew the ending:
